These are all the shortcuts the desktop app ships, with the names and descriptions it uses. The same list is in Settings → Keyboard Shortcuts. A new, empty session also shows a short preview of six of them, with a link to the full list.

|---|
| Focus the composer | / | Move to the composer from elsewhere in an open session. |
| Send message | ↩ | Send the current message from the composer. |
| Add a new line | ⇧ ↩ | Insert a line break without sending. |
| Choose Follow-up | ⌃ F | While a turn is running, queue the current draft for after it finishes. |
| Choose Steering | ⌃ S | While a turn is running, send the current draft into that turn. |
| Recall previous prompt | ↑ | When the composer is empty and prompt history is enabled, recall a recent prompt. |
| Move forward in prompt history | ↓ | While recalling prompts, move toward newer entries or return to an empty composer. |
Notes:
- ⌃ F and ⌃ S switch the composer between Follow-up and Steer while a turn runs; you then send as usual. Steering works only with agents that support it. Where an agent does not, you can only queue. Set the default per agent in Settings → Chat & Composer → While busy.
- ↑ and ↓ need prompt history. It is off by default. Turn on Remember recent prompts in Settings → Chat & Composer → Prompt history. Prompt history stays on the device and is not sent to the daemon.
- ⌘ K opens search only when session search is available on the connected daemon.
